CGI Construction in San Antonio Heights, CA | Square One Builders
Square One Builders provides independent CGI construction service across San Antonio Heights, from full kitchen remodels with CGI cabinetry to frameless glass showers and metal roofing profiles. We are not a CGI authorized dealer, and we don’t pretend to be. What we are is a general contractor that has spent years building and remodeling hillside homes in San Antonio Heights, so we know how these products actually hold up when the Santa Ana winds hit a steep pitch or winter drainage seeps into an unconditioned addition. Why San Antonio Heights Residents Choose Us for CGI Service
Most remodelers in the Inland Empire treat CGI as just another cabinetry brand on a spec sheet. We don’t have that luxury, because San Antonio Heights won’t let us. The housing stock here runs to mid-century ranch homes and later custom hillside builds, many on sloped lots with retaining walls and older utility lines. A CGI shaker cabinet installed on a flat Upland slab behaves differently than the same cabinet in an unconditioned hillside addition where winter humidity creeps up through the subfloor. Brent Calloway, our owner and general contractor, grew up in the Midway City pocket off Bolsa Avenue and spent years hauling material and reading blueprints in parking lots before he ever ran a crew. That instinct against wasting a client’s time still drives how we scope CGI work in San Antonio Heights. For broader project scope, see our CGI sales & service overview.

Common CGI Construction Problems We Solve in San Antonio Heights
- UV-related quartz yellowing and seam failure. South- and west-facing kitchens in San Antonio Heights get hammered by foothill sun. CGI quartz countertops without UV-stable finishes can yellow at the resin line and open at seams within a few seasons. We spec and install the right finish for the exposure.
- Shaker cabinet swelling and delamination. Poor drainage on sloped lots pushes humidity into unconditioned additions. Stile edges on CGI shaker doors absorb that moisture and swell. We fix the drainage first, then the cabinetry, or the problem just comes back.
- Frameless glass hardware corrosion. Hard Upland-basin water pits and corrodes shower hinges fast. CGI frameless enclosures cloud at the glass and the hardware fails, especially on the county water side. We swap in corrosion-resistant hardware rated for hard water.
- Metal roof fastener back-out under Santa Ana wind. Steep foothill pitches in San Antonio Heights see real wind loading. Ridge caps lift, fasteners back out, and ember-resistant retrofits often make the problem worse if not integrated correctly. We re-secure and re-detail the whole assembly.
- Narrow private road staging failures. Delivery trucks can’t always reach the front door on winding foothill drives. We plan material staging in advance so the CGI cabinetry and countertop blanks arrive undamaged and on schedule, not two days late.
CGI Service in San Antonio Heights: What Local Conditions Mean for Your Equipment
San Antonio Heights sits in a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone, and that single fact changes how we approach every CGI installation here. Hillside kitchens and baths we build often need ember-resistant venting and noncombustible exterior detailing that inspectors on the unincorporated county side check far more strictly than in CGI in Upland below. On a steep lot off the foothill roads above San Antonio Heights, our crew replaced a mid-century ranch kitchen with a full CGI remodel, shaker cabinetry, a quartz island, and a backsplash, while re-engineering the subfloor where winter drainage had softened the original framing. We also swapped a leaking framed shower for a frameless glass enclosure with corrosion-resistant hardware, passing the county’s ember-resistant vent check on the first inspection. That’s the difference between a crew that knows San Antonio Heights and one that just drives up Euclid with a truck full of boxes.
CGI Models & Products We Service in San Antonio Heights
We work across the CGI product lines that matter for San Antonio Heights homes. CGI shaker and slab-front cabinetry, CGI quartz and granite countertop programs, CGI frameless glass shower enclosures, and CGI tile and metal roofing profiles. When a hinge or drawer slide fails, we source CGI-spec parts directly. When CGI’s exact part is discontinued or back-ordered for six weeks, we use quality aftermarket hardware instead of making you wait. We tell homeowners honestly when a reface or hardware swap beats a full replacement, and when foothill conditions mean replacement is the only durable fix. That honesty is why we also handle full-scope work under one contract, from roofing to pavers, across the San Antonio Heights service area.

AfterCGI Service Pricing in San Antonio Heights
Pricing for CGI work in San Antonio Heights depends on the slope, the access, and the existing conditions. A flat-lot kitchen on Euclid costs less than a hillside kitchen where every cabinet run needs shimming and the countertop template has to account for an out-of-level floor. These are the market-calibrated ranges we work within:
| Service | Typical Range |
|---|---|
| Kitchen Remodel | $14,000 – $45,000 |
| Walk-In Shower Installation | $4,500 – $12,000 |
| Metal Roof Installation | $15,000 – $40,000 |
| Countertop Installation | $2,000 – $6,500 |

FAQs – CGI Construction in San Antonio Heights
CGI cabinetry holds up as well as any mid-to-upper line when it’s installed with the right clearances and the room’s moisture is controlled. The problem in San Antonio Heights usually isn’t the cabinet, it’s the drainage around the structure, unlike CGI service in Montclair. Call (877) 688-9930 for an on-site assessment, free.
Yes. Frameless enclosures need a level curb and proper anchoring, which is harder when the floor slopes or the framing has settled. We level the subfloor and anchor to studs, not drywall.
CGI metal roofing profiles, particularly standing seam, work well here because they’re noncombustible and hold up under Santa Ana wind. The weak point is always the ridge cap and the ember-resistant detailing, not the panel itself.
Often, yes. We stage materials at a lower point and shuttle them up in smaller loads. It adds time and coordination, but it prevents the headache of a box truck stuck on a switchback. Call (877) 688-9930 to talk through your specific access.
No. We are an independent CGI service provider, not manufacturer-affiliated or authorized. That independence means we install to CGI specifications but choose hardware and finishes based on what works in San Antonio Heights, not what a distributor needs to move this quarter.
